The Medical Letter

The Medical Letter publishes critical appraisals of new prescription drugs and comparative reviews of previously approved drugs. Content provided through its newsletters Medical Letter on Drugs and Therapeutics and Treatment Guidelines from the Medical Letter are peer reviewed and evidence based.
Creating a personal account:
1. Click here to access NOSM University's subscription to Medical Letter
2. Select "Single Journals" to be taken to The Medical Letter site.
3. In the left sidebar of the Medical Letter Page you will see "Mobile Apps" under the heading "About Us".
4. Click on "Mobile Apps"
5. Create your personal account
5. Download and sign into the app on your mobile device using your personal account

Epocrates
Mobile App: App Store, Google Play (in-app purchases).
Epocrates is a free mobile drug and formulary reference tool. Includes a pill identification tool, dose calculator and robust drug interaction checker. Additional features are available for a fee within the app.
Micromedex
Mobile App: App Store, Google Play
The Micromedex app provides Drug Reference summary, NeoFax and Pediatric reference, IV Compatibility, and Drug Interactions information along with a set of clinical calculators and access to the Micromedex Assistant.

Pepid
Mobile App: A variety of apps available for multiple platforms here.
PEPID gives healthcare professionals all the tools they need to treat patients whether at the scene, en route or at the bedside. Suites are available for physicians, students, residents and more. Includes a large drug database, dosing and medical calculators, high-res pill photos and more.
