Important!

Every Scientific Planning Committee is responsible for showing how they assessed

the need for their educational content.

What is a needs assessment?

A needs assessment:

Describes how the committee determined that there are practice gaps needing to be addressed by educational activities.
Provides documentation showing the need (articles, health data, referral patterns, meeting notes, photographs).
Drives the rest of the committee’s planning and delivery.
