Reserves

The staff review curricular resources, including obtaining copyright permission where necessary. The above chart reflects the reserve items made available for the 2015-2016 academic year.

We launched an e-Reserves system, presenting all the required and additional readings for Phase 1 module resources in an easy to navigate platform. e-Reserves allows us to efficiently maintain and update the module resources, generates additional usage statistics, creates a repository of resources and includes copyright and fair use details.

Liaison Librarians

A Liaison Librarian has been assigned to each of the 5 Theme Committees, as well as to each of the Postgraduate programs. A total of 60 interactions occurred during 2015/2016.

The Theme liaison librarians also conducted a review of the module resource lists for CBM 106, 108, and 110.  These three modules were selected because of their ICE/community placement component. The purpose was to increase accessibility to resources while off-campus and the librarians focused on the required resources that are available only in print format.  The Theme Committee Chairs each received a list of print resources for their Themes for these three modules, along with similar or equivalent electronic titles for their review. The intent was to, wherever possible, replace print content with equivalent electronic resources that are current and accessible.
